Two unique projects, two signature projects
13 December 2024
In 2024, two grand and world-exclusive projects came to life thanks to EDSUN’s expertise in water slides. The first is the Stingray slide, a global innovation located at O’Gliss Park in Vendée. The second involves the installation of eight impressive slides at Aquascope, the new water park at Futuroscope in Vienne. These two exceptional projects were carried out in collaboration with EDSUN’s partner, Polin Water Parks, the global leader in water slides.
The Stingray, a world-first innovation
The O’Gliss Park water park has once again placed its trust in EDSUN, following numerous successful installations in the past. For the new Giant Ray project, EDSUN managed the entire process from start to finish, beginning with the design plans and 3D projections. Together with Polin Water Parks, EDSUN unveiled the iconic look of the Stingray slide.
Once the project was designed, EDSUN’s teams undertook the assembly, which was as spectacular as the slide itself. Over the course of several months, the installers delivered exceptional work to bring this marine creature to life.
Following the installation, EDSUN conducts a thorough inspection of the slide and fine-tunes the final adjustments. The team also carries out slide testing to ensure it meets all compliance standards.
On June 19, 2024, part of the team had the honor of attending the inauguration of this spectacular slide. It was an unforgettable moment!
Aquascope : a construction beyond expectations
The Aquascope project is distinct from the Stingray, as EDSUN’s partner, Polin Water Parks, led the design. The client and partner entrusted EDSUN’s expertise for the installation of the water slides. EDSUN’s installation team handled the mounting of metal structures and water slide rails. This massive Aquascope project posed a significant technical challenge, with its eight intertwined water slides.
In November, the water park was awarded the title of “Best Water Park in the World.”
