Water Slide installation: EDSUN at the heart of the Futuroscope Aquascope Project
22 December 2025

Inaugurated in summer 2024, the Aquascope at Futuroscope has become a benchmark in the European water park industry. This next-generation indoor aquatic complex offers a unique immersive experience, combining futuristic technology with aquatic thrills. At the core of this success, EDSUN played a key role in the installation of the waterslides, once again demonstrating its recognized expertise in the field.
A 6,000 m² indoor water park
Aquascope redefines the standards of water parks with 6,000 m² of fully indoor, themed spaces. The facility features several immersive worlds designed to provide visitors with a rich visual and sensory experience. Such an ambitious project required technical installations that met very high expectations, particularly in the area dedicated to water slides.
Water Slides: 8 spectacular installations at Aquascope
The thrill zone at Aquascope brings together eight water slides. Named Matrix, Spiral, Rocket, Flash, Reflex, Alien, Sprint, and Quick, these attractions offer a wide variety of riding experiences while blending seamlessly into the site’s futuristic design. The installation of the water slides represented a major technical challenge. The tallest structures reach up to 18 meters in height, requiring advanced expertise in working at height.
Waterslide installation: technical expertise
EDSUN brings over 30 years of experience in water slide installation to this exceptional project. This recognized expertise is built on in-depth knowledge of the technical, regulatory, and safety constraints inherent to this type of installation.

EDSUN carries out more than 40 water slide installation and assembly projects every year. This consistent level of activity ensures continuous adaptation to technological and regulatory developments in the sector—an essential asset for successfully delivering large-scale projects such as Aquascope.
Continuous training and safety
EDSUN teams receive ongoing training in the latest techniques and safety standards, which is particularly crucial for working at height and in constrained environments. This rigorous training approach ensures the highest levels of quality and safety across all projects. The strategic decision to integrate installation teams in-house represents a major advantage. This structure guarantees consistent execution quality and facilitates on-site communication, with concrete field feedback at every stage of the installation process.

Technical challenges of waterslide installation
The installation of the water slides at Aquascope took place over several months and required high-level technical expertise. Assembling the steel structures and slide flumes demanded precise coordination among all stakeholders. In total, the teams managed, unloaded, and installed 44 trucks filled with water slide components. This large-scale project also required significant logistical planning, particularly regarding storage areas, as some individual slide components were exceptionally large in size.
Precision and adaptability on site
EDSUN installers demonstrated outstanding precision and strong adaptability in response to the site’s specific space and accessibility constraints. This flexibility, combined with continuous on-site communication, made it possible to meet the project’s tight deadlines while maintaining strict quality standards. In addition, the intertwined trajectories of certain slides required precise planning of the installation sequence.
International recognition at the Thea Awards
The Aquascope project received international recognition at the 31st annual Thea Awards ceremony on March 15, 2025. This distinction, regarded as one of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry, celebrates the overall excellence of the project. This international recognition highlights not only Futuroscope’s bold vision but also EDSUN’s technical expertise in water slide installation.
