Camping Acapulco has been a long-standing partner of EDSUN for more than 30 years. Throughout this collaboration, numerous leisure facilities have been developed to continuously enhance the campsite’s attractions and provide guests with an ever more enjoyable holiday experience.
An XXL Water Park Inspired by the Mayan Civilisation
Camping Acapulco’s water park immerses visitors in a world inspired by the Mayan civilisation. The themed scenery and carefully designed layout create a unique atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
The water park features two XXL waterslides: a Wave slide and an Aquatube. Offering different sliding sensations, these attractions are among the highlights of the aquatic area. Their layout expands the range of experiences available and caters to thrill-seekers of all ages.
A Wave Ball to Recreate the Sensation of the Sea
The pool has been specifically designed to accommodate a Wave Ball. This attraction recreates the movement of ocean waves with several intensity levels, allowing both children and adults to enjoy the experience throughout the day. It brings constant animation to the water park and has become one of the campsite’s must-try attractions.
Two Multi-Sports Courts for the Whole Family
To further enhance its leisure offering, Camping Acapulco has also installed two multi-sports courts. These facilities allow guests to enjoy a variety of sports within a single area, encouraging fun and shared experiences with family and friends.
A New Bespoke Playground Inspired by Mexico and the Aztec Civilisation
In 2026, Camping Acapulco continued the development of its leisure facilities with the installation of a fully customised playground. Inspired by Mexico and the Aztec civilisation, this unique project was designed to become a major attraction for families.
Standing 6 metres high, the structure incorporates several slides and interconnected play routes, offering a wide variety of sliding experiences while accommodating a large number of children at the same time. Thanks to the generous space available on site, the EDSUN team enjoyed complete creative freedom to design a layout that fully matched the project’s ambitions.
As Sébastien Pondevie, EDSUN Project Manager, explains: “The client wanted to create a unique, fully customised structure that would stand out from traditional playground equipment”. This objective has been fully achieved with this new immersive playground, which complements the many facilities already installed at the campsite.
This latest project is part of a long-standing partnership between Camping Acapulco and EDSUN. As Henri-Jacques Baud, Director of Sun Marina (Camping Acapulco, Les Genêts and Le Château), explains: “We have been working with EDSUN for 30 years. Our relationship is excellent, and they provide a comprehensive approach to every project. Our facilities have a strong impact on our guests and allow us to stand out year after year.”
